Hi! I’m Alexis A. Goring. I’m passionate about GOOD NEWS (the gospel of Jesus Christ according to The Holy Bible and inspirational true stories from modern day life), reaching hearts for Jesus Christ, serving God with all my might, sweet potato pie (my grandma’s recipe is the BEST), green tea from PANERA, family, friends who are blessings from God, my church, wedding and lifestyle photography, vegetarian Filipino and Indian food, and the everyday moments and relationships that make life beautiful!

I’m a writer at heart, having loved storytelling since I was a child. God directed me to pursue my passion for the written word and I graduated from college with a degree in Print Journalism several years ago. Since then, God blessed me with work as a columnist, freelance writer for mainstream and religious print media, teaching kids, and most recently becoming the Social Media and Web Editor for my county’s newspaper.

God allowed a dream of my heart to come true when I released my first book—an inspirational romance novella called Hope in My Heart: A Collection of Heartwarming Stories—through Crossbooks Publishing in September 2013. My main blog, “God is Love” is based on what I call “The Bible in a nutshell” (John 3:16) which says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life” (New International Version). I keep my blog up to date with inspiring messages, music, photos, quotes and notes. I hope my readers will discover God’s heart of love for humanity through reading the posts that I publish about faith, hope and love.
