Daughters of a King

We are each unique individuals, an exceptionally diverse group of women with so many different variables and extremes. But the one thing that we all have in common is that we are loved beyond measure by our father, and our father is THE King. Therefore, we are royalty! So it is high time we put on our tiaras and start acting like the princesses that we are! We have got to start realizing our worth and value – and owning that worth and value!Daughter of a King

2 Corinthians 6:18 – And, “I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”
Revelation 21:7 – [She] that overcome shall inherit all things; and I will be [her] God, and [she] shall be my [daughter].
1 John 3:1-2 – See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!
Galatians 3:26 – For in Christ Jesus you are all [daughters] of God, through faith.
John 1:12 – But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.

Our relationship with our heavenly father is the most important relationship we have to maintain. And to hold on to our royalty status as daughters of the King we must always remember that our father will never let us down. He will never allow for us to go without, or allow us to suffer. He will always provide for us everything we need. Now, we may not always get every single little thing that we want but, usually there is a reason and a purpose that he doesn’t provide that; he has something even better in store for us (Psalm 37:4)! Our father is always there to listen to us, it is just up to us to open up and talk to Him (John 14:16-17). He is always there with guidance and teachings in many forms and fashions. He wants us to follow his commands and learn to always be obedient. We have to be willing to turn everything over to Him and trust that he will take care of it (Proverbs 2:10)  He loves us so so so much. More than our little minds and hearts could ever comprehend. And He wants us to love Him back with our whole hearts (John 3:16). As long as we don’t stray and continuously maintain our relationship with our father, that relationship will be constant and steady. We always know that we can rely and depend upon our heavenly father (Hebrews 13:8).

prov3125-26As daughters of the King, we also have standards and values that we should present to the rest of the world. Proverbs 31:10-31, “The woman who fears the Lord”, is an excellent passage explaining how we as women should present ourselves. Though this is written pertaining to a wife, any and every woman can apply it to their life. It is so important that we carry ourselves with dignity, pride, and confidence (not to be confused with over cockiness). Carry ourselves like royalty!

There is a verse, 1 Timothy 2:9, that tells how women are to dress with modesty and to not adorn themselves (jewelry, hair, makeup, etc.), going on to say what I understand as women are to show their beauty through good deeds and/or kindness. So, should we not dress up and make ourselves look good? In my opinion I do not believe that verse should be taken too literally (at least I do not take it that way). I believe the point this verse is trying to make is that we women should not be overly focused on our outer beauty, but we should put as much care and work into our inner beauty. Always making sure to have a positive impact on the world around us. We are daughters of a King! Own that royal status, ladies!!!!
